Indiana Department of Administration – Williams Dam, Lawrence County, Indiana

LFA provided design and construction inspection services for improvements to the Williams Dam and Powerhouse in Williams, Indiana. The project included repairs to the concrete surface of the ogee spillway, removal of existing sluice gates, installation of new bulkheads at the powerhouse and installation of log and debris boon at the entrance to the powerhouse. Services during construction included on-site inspection, verification of pay quantities, shop drawing review and conducting periodic progress meetings. LFA worked closely with personnel of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources – Division of Engineering throughout this project.

Indiana Department of Administration – Goldeneye Pond Dams, Kosciusko County, Indiana

LFA provided design and construction inspection services for improvements to the Goldeneye Pond Dams in Kosciusko County, Indiana. The improvements were necessary to bring the dam/spillway into conformance with current engineering standards and to meet State of Indiana design requirements for stability and spillway capacity. The project included removal and replacement of the spillway system, reconstruction of the embankments at dams A, B and C to provide a minimum of a 3:1 grade on the upstream and downstream slopes, installation of riprap and fieldstone at the shoreline of all three dams for erosion protection, construction of a new channel downstream of the spillway and installation of a new boat ramp. Services during construction included on-site inspection, verification of pay quantities, shop drawing review and conducting periodic progress meetings. LFA worked closely with personnel of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources – Division of Engineering throughout this project.
