Engineering dams and related hydraulic/ hydroelectric structures has many facets. Perhaps there is no better example of this than the work Lawson-Fisher has completed for the City of South Bend and the East Race Waterway. Part of a comprehensive riverfront development initiative, the crown jewel of the project was the transformation of an abandoned mill race site into a world class whitewater course for kayaking, canoeing and rafting.
